ABOUT US

In Her Hands®, a stewardship established in 2025 by Nicole Eboni—a scholar, art historian, and seasoned art handler—headquartered in Washington, D.C., committed to the care, preservation, and cultural stewardship of art and historical objects.

Guided by a deep commitment to cultural preservation and equity in the arts, In Her Hands provides specialized support to institutions, museums, and collections that foreground Black art, culture, and history. The organization also extends its expertise to a broad range of cultural spaces devoted to inclusive storytelling and representative practices.

Our focus is on providing specialized art handling services, curatorial consulting, and preservation support for exhibitions, acquisitions, and collections that foreground the work of Black artists and historically significant Black cultural contributions. Whether it's overseeing the safe installation of a contemporary exhibition or advising on acquisitions that shape institutional narratives, we approach every project with expertise, care, and cultural sensitivity.

Through partnership, precision, and purpose, In Her Hands is proud to help shape a more inclusive and intentional future in the stewardship of Black art and history.

Our Mission:

In Her Hands is more than a service—it's a commitment to legacy. Rooted in deep expertise and cultural reverence, we specialize in the preservation, protection, and care of Black American art. Founded by a scholar of Art History with a focus on Black figurative and portrait traditions—and an accomplished printmaker—In Her Hands offers expert art handling and stewardship that prioritizes cultural integrity and historical significance.

We don’t just move art—we honor its story. Every piece is treated with the respect it deserves, ensuring that the voices, visions, and contributions of Black artists are safeguarded and celebrated for generations to come.
